"A Hypnotist in Indie-Land"

Until late 2000/early 2001, I had only performed hypnosis live and in real time. However this real time hypnotic experience spanned over three decades of constant practice, nearly two of those decades under full clinical certification.

When I decided to bring My hypnotic skills to the Internet as a hypnotherapist and entertaining hypnotist, I had My doubts about the efficacy of text-based online hypnosis. By personal experimentation, I found those doubts had little ground except in the face of a seasoned game-player or faker of trance. There are more of these on the Net than one would think.

My next journey involved the Indie Music scene, of which I had been a fan since I first discovered MP3.com. I found that at least one major hypnodomme had releases on MP3.com in the days of Vivendi/Universal's ownership of same. "Hmmm...if SHE can do it, so can I!" was My immediate thought. So I set up an Artist account there Myself, and released My first two recorded inductions, one of which had been waiting for a site home since April of 2001.

I was surprised and pleased at the fan response I got. By the time MP3.com was sold to CNET, A) I was a consistent Chart Topper B) I had released over 30 D.A.M. (Dual Audio Media) CDs C) I had over $2,500.00 in CD sales and Pay-Per-Play payments. This took slightly over two years, which is not bad for an Artist in a sub-genre of minor main genre (Reality/Mental Health/Hypnosis). (more)

27 May 06 - 07:57What Does a Hypnodomme Do When She isn't Hypnotizing?

What does any red-blooded housewife do? Cook, wash dishes, take out the trash; then if one is also a Web Maven, one checks in with one's site fights and other Web events. I manage Webrings; about 160 to be exact, so a couple of times a week the management sections of those must be dealt with. I have to recount the Yahoo Groups I own; I think I may start placing join pages for such as permalinks and portions of posts.

After the Rings, compos, Groups and forums, there are the web sites themselves. My second eldest daughter said to Me in MSN the other day when I told her I had a 'few' blog updates to do..."Lol! a FEW, huh?" I said, "why do you say that, dear?" and her reply was: "Mom, when it comes to the 'Net, you never have just a 'few' of anything!" She was still at home when I started falling in love with the Web, and had watched me grow into someone about whom you might say..."oh no...she has another site now! What's it about this time?" This has continued until the current time. Back then, I would create sites with computer multimedia artwork, Web and Windows tips and tricks, some of which I am sure the WWW and software dev folk wondered how a simple user knew...current times are a bit different. Windows has gotten so complex that I need a whole new set of tricks if I am to catch the interest of the site visitor, and unless one is a site specialist, with all the tech sites out here, I would be both outnumbered, and lacking for content that is unique. For, who simply wants to rehash what everyone else has said already?

Embedded Flash Players

For all of the subs and subjects who are wondering why I am not chatting online, I need a bit of a break from online chatting and hypnosis. I had planned to stop doing live hypnosis altogether, but it seems there are just too many people addicted to My voice. So I will take a long break and let the subbies get down to the serious spoiling that tells Me I am needed!

26 May 06 - 20:57DMD CDs

For those who have been asking for a couple of years where my MP3s or CDs could be bought, I have news! The Independent Artists' Company has set up an audio delivery model similar to the one used by MP3.com when it was still a largely Indie site. What this means to My would be listeners is that you can securely purchase singles or full albums to either be streamed over the WWW, or burned to CD at your leisure. Three links to purchase lie below.
